Volunteer For Urban Assault Ride!!!!

It’s time to signup for the Urban Assault Ride volunteer list!!

Helping with this great event on 9/26 ensures that CORP will receive a great financial boost heading into 2011.

A few details;

Many of the volunteer slots have multiple openings, so if you sign up and the slot does not disappear, that’s why. Once all slots for a particular duty are filled it will dissappear.

Click on the specific duty to find out what you will be doing. Certain tasks do require attendance at a meeting the Thursday prior to the event. I am working to make this meeting coincide with our monthly CORP meeting.

There are 30 spots to fill so recruit your family and friends and sign up as soon as possible. I will keep everybody updated with how many slots we have left to fill. As of right now we still need 27 people to register as volunteers. Let’s fill all the slots as soon as possible.

Cam Rock Work Day 8/21

The VBC will be working at CRIII tomorrow at 9:00 until about noon to put some of the final touches on the course for PBST. We would love any help from our fellow CORP brothers/sisters. We will meet in the CRIII parking lot and head to the work areas from there. If you are able to make it I would suggest exposing the least amount of skin possible, covering yourself head to toe with insect spray (DEET is necessary), and to bring water and gloves. We may head to Heather’s afterwards unless a shower sounds better! We hope to see you tomorrow. Please PM Stonefly if you are coming so I make sure we have enough tools.

12 Hours of Blue Mound - Postponed

Due to adverse conditions and more rain in the forecast for Friday night I regret to announce that the 12 Hours of Blue Mound has been postponed.

Conditions on the course are currently wet and muddy. With more rainfall on the way they will quickly deteriorate to dangerous and damaging.

A rain date will be announced when a feasible weekend can be found.

Only Five Days Left!!!!

That’s right folks only five days until the annual 12 Hours of Blue Mound kicks off.

To anybody that is racing my hats off to you for coming out to tackle what should once again prove to be a brutally beautiful course.

Not racing? We’d still love to have you come out and lend a hand. There a still a number of volunteer slots we need to fill. Our biggest need is from Noon-4pm and 4pm-8pm. Please send an e-mail to info@madcitydirt.org if you can help out in any way and I will get you setup. It’s pretty easy work and all volunteers will get free food and beverage. Grab a shift now so we can pencil you in!!

On another note I’d like to let everyone know that our beer menu this year includes Furthermore’s Fatty Boombalatty, Ale Asylum’s Hopalicious, and Vintage Brewing Company’s McLovin! Free “samples” to all volunteers and racers!!

note - a “sample” in these parts is a 16oz cup with unlimited refills….

Group Ride at The Farm (8/5/2010)!!!!

Thanks to Coleman and Thom H. The Farm is ready to ride.

Last week it sounds like the turnout at Cam-Rock was pretty crazy.

This weeks edition moves to the far west side of Madison for a frolic at The Farm.

I’m going to get out there sometime close to 6pm and ride until it’s dark.
