Thursday June, 26th we are meeting at the Badger Prairie shelter for our monthly meeting. On the agenda is the final planning an volunteer organization for the 12 hour race, status report on planning for the August IMBA visit, update on post 500 year flood trail status, and much more to make our summer the best ever. We meet at 7pm and the meeting should be 60-90 minutes. Bring yourself and drag a friend with. Hopefully we’ll have some cold beers but nobody has taken command of beverages for this months meeting yet. Maybe we’ll get a surprise from the malt and hop fairies tomorrow night. See you there!!!

A certain covert supporter (http://www.creepyfriendly.typepad.com/) has declared this week sponsor appreciation week. Hey, I dig that! Let’s run through the short list and apologies in advance if I miss anyone.

The guys over at Mongoose have been amazing with their support of CORP this year. They almost single-handedly made CORP self sufficient in our supply of trail building tools. Pretty sure some thanks goes out for landing an August visit from the IMBA Trail Care Crew. CORP looks forward to hanging out, riding, and laying down some new trail with these guys.

If you were lucky enough to attend a workday at Cam-Rock this spring you know why Heather gets a huge THANK YOU! I believe we had five official workdays and Heather provided a free sandwich and beer (or multiple beers) for everybody who showed up. Just thinking about the number of sandwiches and gallons of beer she sent our way gives me an upset stomach and a hangover! If you ride at Cam-Rock this summer make sure to leave time for a post ride pit-stop.

The beer makers from my hometown of Spring Green! They made our December meeting one of the best meetings I can remember. Anybody not take home a variety or two as a reward for showing up? If you missed the meeting hang tight as I hear the IMBA visit might have a good sampling of Furthermore Beer. I might not get it right but a liquor store I frequent has a quote from these guys, “life is to be enjoyed in big bites….moderation is for monks”. Thanks guys!

The clothing gurus from Minneapolis make some of the sharpest threads you’ve ever seen. They stepped up big time in support of the 12 Hours of Blue Mound last year. Not only did they put forth a huge box of schwag but Twin Six themselves (Brent and Ryan) raced as well. They might have been a little battered and bruised but I hear Brent is coming back and bringing this guy with him to share the pain http://g-tedproductions.blogspot.com/. See you in July.

That’s it for round one. More to come a little later during sponsor appreciation week.
Thanks again from everybody at CORP.

From the looks and accounts National Trails Day was a huge success at Blue Mound State Park. More work than planned was completed on the new “South Loop” trail. Wish I could have attended but the necktie once again kept me minding the masses instead of diggin’ dirt. A huge thank you to everybody who planned for and attended this awesome event.

For CORP this marks the official ground-breaking of the newly flagged South loop. Successful completion of this loop will increase total mileage at Blue Mound by about 20%. See you there!!
