Holy crap I almost forgot about the meeting tomorrow night!!!
7pm at Middleton city hall.
Parks and recreation meeting.
This is the one where a dirt jump and pumptrack park could get final approval.
WE NEED BODIES TO SHOW SUPPORT.
CORP is buying a round at the Village Green immediately following the meeting.
We’ll either drown our sorrows or celebrate a victory….either way I’m havin’ a beer.
Who’s coming?

I’ve got a bunch of random information to pass along. A little bit random for now as details are still coming together.
Middleton Parks Meeting
November 30th, 7pm, Middleton City Hall.
The idea behind this meeting is that we hope to be getting final approval for a mountain bike park near pleasant view golf course in Middleton. What CORP needs is a good showing of support (bodies) at the meeting to let them know that we are serious about this. As I promised early CORP will be a round of pitchers (Village Green) immediately following the meeting as a thanks to all who attend.
Annual Year End Meeting
December 10th, 7pm, Fitchburg City Hall. We will be in the large room downstairs….same as last year for those who attended.
I’m proposing an admission charge for the meeting, don’t worry it isn’t monetary, four cold beers is what I ask. Try to bring something obsucre or ordinary whatever trips your trigger. We’ll throw it all on ice and have ourselves a beer pot luck. Pizza will be provided by CORP.
Although it will mostly be fun and conversation I will be asking for a reconfirmation of our Trail Stewards for each system as well as an assitand Trail Steward for each trail system. The idea is that the assistant can begin helping on important projects and lessen the workload for the “Trail Boss”. I will also be proposing an election for a treasurer to handle club funds and a secretary to keep track of club happening. Post up a nomination if you have one you think would be good.
Incorporation of CORP
A few club members are currently working on making CORP a legitimate non-profit organization. There will be formalities to be followed but it is my desire to keep the loose feeling of CORP intact. Basically we have run into issues with applying for grants because we aren’t a 501(c)3 non-profit. Most of you won’t notice anything different about how CORP functions. The drawback is that CORP is looking at roughly $1500+ in fees to complete the application process. We do plan on instituting a dues system to become an official CORP member. What a few of us have tossed around is $20 annually. I’m doing my best to create a membership package that will keep this as pain free as possible. Who knows you might actually get much more than $20 in value back for you membership!

Our own William Lorman has been making awesome progress with a possible trail option on the western edge of Middleton. What we are looking at is a nice piece of land close to Pleasant View Golf Course. The terrain appears to be ideally suited to a skills park consisting of a short singletrack loop, pump track, and progressive dirt jump lines. The best part of William’s efforts is that the city has funding they can direct toward our efforts.
What do I need from you to make this happen? Attendance at the 11/16/2009 Middleton Parks meeting.
Where: Middleton City Hall
When:: 11/16/2009 - 7pm
Why: Because we have a huge opportunity and these things only happen if we show up and voice our opinion!
Need incentive to come out? CORP is buying a round of pitchers after the meeting to thank those who attend.
“The world is run by those who show up!”
