Grand Opening of Middleton Bike Park (Saturday, June 19)

Published by bmmullen under Uncategorized

Well, technically it’s been open for a little while. But this Saturday is the official dedication and opening of the Middleton Bike Park (at Pleasant View Golf Course), coinciding with the Middleton Big Event. There are a number of cool things going on in Middleton on Saturday (bike demos, helicopter tours, boat rides) and one of them is the grand opening of the bike trails. The dedication happens at Firemans Park @ 11 am. Riders will be heading to Pleasant View in the afternoon for food, libations, and maybe even a little enjoyment of the new park. There will probably be a pump track time trial or chainless race at some point…

Quarry Ridge Workday - Saturday June 12 - 8 am - Noon

Published by bmmullen under Events

Ok, ok, I know we’re into the meat of the riding season, but we have one more (official) workday left for the entire year. For all you lurkers, this is your last chance this year to help out! Also a great opportunity to finally complete the new “alternative” downhill trail on the main singeltrack loop. This is something that will be fun for riders of all styles once it is complete (hopefully this weekend). Depending on the turnout we may be able to attack the new trailhead loop and some other problem areas.

Given the forecast for the next couple of days, the trails probably won’t be rideable, and the US world cup game doesn’t start until 1:30, so I hope to see you all there!

A Night of Bikes!

What: Follow Me Premiere by Ant Hill Films

When: Friday, June 4, 2010 - 7pm

Where: Majestic Theatre, 115 King ST, Madison, WI

Tickets: Purchase Tickets Here!!! - All Ages Buy Tickets

Other Info:  Follow Me is a new mountain bike movie from the crew who brought you the Collective, Roam and Seasons. The first release from the crew’s new company Anthill Films, Follow Me takes the viewer inside the action, capturing the unique perspectives and HD imagery the crew is famous for.

A modern portrait of mountain bike lifestyle, Follow Me gets back to basics and reminds us why we all love to ride bikes. Breaking from the traditional single rider format, Follow Me is based on the idea that “no one rides alone”; mixing and matching the world’s best downhillers, freeriders and slopestylers in some of the best places to ride on the planet. Think back‐yard sessions, ripping local trails, training bike parks, epic road trips and heli drops. Follow Me is all about good times, pushing limits with your friends, crazy adventures and most importantly having fun your bike.

Follow Me will change the way you see mountain bike films and get you stoked to get off the couch and ride! The teaser lives here.

At the head of the trail you have never ridden, a friend turns with a knowing look and says….”Just follow me!”

We’ve all heard it, and depending on who says it, it makes a pretty big difference for what lies ahead. Whether it’s a good idea or not we almost always drop in. Now, riding alone is great. But let’s face it, we all ride harder, go faster, take more risks and have more fun when we ride with our friends. In every experience from sending giant step downs to high speed trail it’s always better to share the ride.

Follow us to the Majestic Theatre to experience the new Ant Hill Films movie: Follow Me
